Did you know that HB 1495, which passed last year as a rate increase for Citizens Insurance was also a hidden tax increase?  The language in this Bill states that a minimum of $10,000,000 and up to 35% of investment income of the Florida Hurricane Catastrophe Fund Shall be used for the purpose of providing funding for local governments, state agencies and private educational institutions (more nonsense "consulting" funds and studies).  See what's coming this year as a continuation of this bill.
